The new 14.4 keV single line Synchrotron Mössbauer Source (SMS) at the nuclear resonance beamline P01 has been developed and will be in the future available for user operation. It relies on pure nuclear Bragg diffraction from a high-quality 57Fe enriched single crystal of iron borate (57FeBO3) heated very close to the Neél temperature. In this talk, I will describe the principle of the SMS, the setup at P01, the first results, and future developments.
