„Galão & Salpeter. Tracing migration and the city‘s colonial past in Hamburg today“ – Guided Interactive Tour & Discussion
Immigration has not only brought Portuguese coffee galão to Hamburg, it has also left visible traces in the cityscape – some of which are now a tourist attraction. With their historical-colonial relationships to the respective countries, the Chile-Haus or the Laeisz-Halle characterize the cityscape of Hamburg in a different way.
Jasmin Neumann and Philipp Uhlig (grenzgänge Hamburg) will take us on a decolonial walking tour (approx. 3 km) and encourage new perspectives and exchange.
