31st European Synchrotron Light Source Workshop (ESLS 2023)

Description

The European Synchrotron Light Source Workshop (ESLS) is an annual event to keep the accelerator physics community informed about the operation and project plans of synchrotron light sources in Europe and the Middle East with a focus on storage ring based sources.

The 31th European Synchrotron Light Source workshop will be hosted by DESY on 21 and 22 November 2023 in Hamburg, Germany. The workshop program will cover all relevant aspects of the design, construction, operation and improvement of synchrotron light sources. The program covers sessions on:

  • Status reports of each facility (operation and projects)
  • Collaboration between facilities
  • Visit of the PETRA III tunnel and the RF transmitter hall
  • Visit of the Insertion Devices Lab and  further optional visits 

 

Participation in the workshop is free of charge but on invitation only, through the coordinators of each institute. As is the custom, DESY will cover two nights' accommodation for up to two participants from each institute.  Further participants and an additional night's accommodation may be possible on request.
