Expert Group Longitudinal Beam Diagnostics of the IRUVX-PP/EuroFEL project would like to invite you to join this mini workshop, scheduled for 24-25 March 2011 at Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI), Switzerland.
The purpose of this meeting is to merge the results from the first workshop which took place at DESY on 14-15 January 2011.
Currently several versions of a Matlab code, originally written by Bernd Steffen for his PhD thesis, are used to simulate the expected signal of different electro-optical bunch length experiments at several laboratories.
The goal of this workshop is to
• discuss the current situation,
• define the needs, an (improved) concept and interfaces
• and, finally, distribute the programming tasks
in order to establish a documented, user friendly and more flexible (and less buggy) version of the simulation code.
