Meeting ID: 870 4407 7489
Passcode: FC@DESY

  • Generator:
    • fixing Pythia6 seems daunting...
    •  re-check whether last remaining issues for Whizard3+Pythia8 are solved in latest version
    • sent example beam spectra to Thorsten Ohl to test implementation in CIRCE
    • Thorsten will be at DESY Nov 20-22
  • Machine:
    • discuss with Brian tomorrow whether one can narrow down on 2 sets of pair envelopes to design detector against
  • Detector:
    • general discussion
      • UA1 had dipole field :)
      • so does LHCb and LHeC detector
        • ddsim should happily work with B-field function - Kalman filter less clear
    • Antoine:
      •  run normal ILD sim + rec on HALHF Higgs events
      • then try to check sim and track fit with non-homogeneous field
    • Christian:
      • LHeC / FCCeh use dipole field in fwde
      • check whether we can access to their Geant4 simulation
    • Jenny:
      • talk to H1/ZEUS whether someone would have fun to run HALHF events through their simulation
      • get geometry into beamstrahlung coordinates
There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.
    • 1
      Round the table
Speakers: Antoine Laudrain (FTX (FTX Fachgruppe DTA)), Benno List (IPP (Info-management Prozesse u. Projekte)), Carl Mikael Berggren (FTX (FTX Fachgruppe SLB)), Christian Schwanenberger (DESY, University of Hamburg), Christophe Grojean (T (Theorie)), Frank Gaede (FTX (FTX Fachgruppe SFT)), Jenny List (FTX (FTX-SLB)), Juergen Reuter (DESY), Dr Karsten Buesser (DESY), Ties Behnke (DESY)
      • Whizard+Pythia6 for asymmetric beams
      • concept for luminosity measurement
      • converge on one (or few) favorite beam parameter settings to be able to define beam pipe / stay-clear
      • improve the momentum resolution (and possibly vertex coverage ?) in the forward region
      • upcoming presentations:
        • MDI WS
        • Paestum
        • HALHF Collaboration meeting
