The workshop “Grazing-incidence X-ray experiments using FELs” is a one-day meeting on grazing incidence scattering techniques, GID, GISAXS, GI-XAS, with special emphasis on applications at X-ray free-electron lasers. The aim of the workshop is to discuss the status of the research performed world-wide and stimulate future activities and research directions, and get feedback to the facility from users.
The workshop will start with a few research highlights on recent GI experiments of liquid, thin film, ablation and plasmas, spectroscopy and magnetism, followed by the introduction of technical capability at European XFEL but also from a few other facilities. We also secure time for the open discussion. Participants are cordially invited to the workshop dinner at the Beamstop (cafeteria at EuXFEL) where people can further discuss this great opportunity and future potential collaborations.
The workshop will be held in person at the European XFEL in Schenefeld, Germany. Registration is mandatory and participation is free, based on the first come-first served principle.
