Highlights:

  • 8th PUNCH General Meeting - 6th February 2024
  • Overview of the progress for KCDC use case: digital research objects, available to KCDC users were classified, metadata records were prepared for each category of the objects. For all preselected datasets, metadata records were prepared in JSON in accordance to DataCite 4.4 schema. For automatization of metadata harvesting Flask API was proposed and developed - to be replaced with OAI PHM in long term. The DOI minting procedure is being developed (currently the datasets are identified with KCDC's DOI + internal uuids).
  • On metadata records collection into the "Metadata catalog" (by ILDG group, together with TA2):
    • Is a part of the bottom-up development approach - sample metadata records for particular research products are collected in order to build some basic proof-of-principle functionality
    • Sample metadata records can be placed in the catalog, if they are validating with DataCite 4.4 schema and in XML format
    • At the moment, the records are being uploaded manually
    • In order to be able to upload files, one requires to be a member of the virtual organization. The contact person is Christian Schmidt-Sonntag
    • Adding metadata records for H->4L and KCDC use cases is planned
