ASAP::O development

Not scheduled
20m

Description

The ASAP::O high performance distributed streaming platform was designed to be able to keep up with huge data volumes and frame rates of next generation high-speed detectors. ASAP::O allows the scientist to focus on science, while taking care of storage and network and the delivery of the experiment data at the required destination. It is provided with an easy to use API in Python or C/C++.
Within this project a Grafana based monitoring infrastructure and/or a central logging server shall be provided for the ASAP::O framework. Other options are to evaluate a selected set of fast key value systems based on fast NVMe and network fabric (InfiniBand) or to develop a proof of concept for a TILED (https://blueskyproject.io/tiled/) data access service on top of the ASAP3 (GPFS) storage infrastructure.
