Belle II data analysis

Not scheduled
20m

Description

Belle II is the detector operated at the Super KEKB accelerator in Japan since 2019. The DESY group is active in B and tau physics analyses and in the monitoring of the performance of the Pixel detector in terms of efficiency and resolution at the highest luminosities. The summer project would be in one of these areas depending on data availability and student's preference. Data are stored in ROOT format and analyzed in C++ and optionally Python.

Group FH/Belle II
Project Category B1. Physics Data Analysis and Performance (software-oriented)
Special Qualifications some ROOT and C++ knowledge would be helpful
