RH highlighted in a general way the two types of instances of SciCat that we have at DESY:
1. Demonstrator beamlines, internal use.
2 Towards open data activities, DOIs provisions; external use.
RH collected input on DESY specifics
- Instruments at P08 are the actual devices, the ensemble (6 circle diffractometer, liquid diffractometer, grazing incidence setup).
- Energy: photon energy (rarely electron beam energy is used), scans of energy are performed.
They would NOT search for e.g. undulator_gap but this information IS interesting to know to decide if the data is needed.
FB reported that the FE is behaving stable. Need to decide on meta data fields in order to reduce data (please communicate within FS – Linus, Anton).
Actions:
From FLASH (SD) and PetraIII (FB?) we agreed to come up with a list of keywords that is used to find data, make the other one understand what they mean and if there isn’t an overlap.
Goal: Agree on terms one searches for. Not too many <10. Go over what is already used. undulator_gap was just an example, which other terms are like that?

JK: Experience with grouping datasets.
IK: Prepare 1 or 2 slides for general understanding: outlining the problem and development work done for improving the FE experience.
