The POSHH chapter invites you to a lab tour at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), where, amongst other things, we will look at the application of lasers in medicine.
The lab tour will take place on March 21, starting at 5pm!
First, we will visit the laser lab, where an image-guided laser ablation system for precise 3D tissue sampling is currently being developed. And then visit the mass spectrometry lab, which contains instruments for analyzing the ablated material using omics techniques like MALDI-MS and LC-MS/MS. The team will also provide an overview of the principles and application of this novel approach within the context of cancer development research.
After the tour, the team will be open for questions and discussions about possible PostDoc positions!
The number of people who can join the lab tour is limited, so please register here! The available slots will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. You can still register afterwards and will be put on a waiting list.
The meeting point is the entrance at the main building (O10). Please keep in mind that this is not on DESY campus! You can reach it via bus (line 20, 25, 281, 113, stop: UK Eppendorf/UK Eppendorf Haupteingang), or coming from DESY campus, more precisely with the bus route: 2/3 -> 20/25.
