Anjali A from FS-EC presented her work setting up a standardised pre-processor to SciCat for validated meta data ingestion for DESY beamlines, PetraIII and FLASH.
She motivated the use of LinkML, highlighting features like easy integration with other YAML readable systems via other formats like JSON, visualisation of relations, automatic documentation and flexibility (adopting to specifications).
She proceeds in the context of P65 in the frame of RockIT, but other experimental techniques are targeted as well, P08 is in the pipeline as well as other PETRA beamlines. Expertise per experimental technique is appreciated. Please get in touch!
Discussion yielded that beamline staff with the goal to find data that enables them to reproduce a specific set of conditions as well as photon scientists are both stakeholder of SciCat.
