Diversity in Physical Sciences

Both systemic efforts and individual commitment are required to overcome inequalities in terms of diversity and gender aspects. To encourage young scientists, role models and examples of success could be helpful.

 

Successful career paths are not by definition streamlined, and there is no standardized way to succeed. Unfortunately, we often give another impression in academia and do not encourage young scientists to search for the individual way of professional success and personal contentment.  

 

Astrid Schneidewind (Co-Speaker of DAPHNE4NFDI, Chair of the European Neutron Scattering Association and of the Strategic Working Group PSI in ESFRI) will share her personal experiences.
