Entrepreneurship Lunch Special: Empowering Female Founders

Join us for a Special Edition of the Entrepreneurship Lunch

As part of the Female Entrepreneurship Week - which is organized by HAW/Startup Port in context with the Global Entrepreneurship Week - this exclusive session will spotlight the unique challenges and successes of rising as a female founder with a tech start-up.
Following an inspiring impulse talk by Qiao Zhang, three female (pre-)founders will share their personal journeys, offering insights into their experiences in building successful start-ups.

Impulse by Qiao Zhang, ESMT Berlin: From “EmPower” to “InPower”

In essence, the etymology of “empower” signifies the act of conferring the capability or authority to individuals or groups, enabling them to take control or make decisions within a given context.  But apart from other people enabling us, WE need to discover power from within, to make decisions and take control confidently and unapologetically. What gives rise to such power and what drains it? What could our PowerCompass look like? In this talk, Qiao will share some observations and reflections, based on her own journey and experiences coaching and supporting female leaders.

Qiao Zhang, program director for Women Leadership Excellence at ESMT Berlin, is also an ICF Professional Certified Coach and a Gallup certified CliftonStrength coach. She is passionate about strength-based leadership and transition, team dynamics & collaboration. Prior to joining ESMT Berlin, Qiao worked in Unilever China for 5 years as brand manager, before she completed her MBA in IESE Business School, Barcelona. During her past 12 years in Germany, she worked for Bayer Business Consulting, Amazon and GROHE AG, as sales & marketing consultant, program management officer, and learning & development team lead.

Don't miss this opportunity to connect, learn, and be inspired by trailblazing women in tech! The discussion will be facilitated by Lizzy Harmstorf, DESY Start-up Office.
