Description

The QUEST Open Day aims to Discuss Quantum Technologies in Cyprus for Research and Industry. We invite researchers, collaborators, industries and the general public to visit the Cyprus Institute and learn how we are carrying out our mission of making the Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center “quantum-ready”.

Different fields and industries that require physics simulation, chemical engineering - and even cultural industries - can leverage the emerging quantum technologies in order to optimize or to create new applications.

To that end, the QUEST Open Day will provide three introductory lectures on different aspects of quantum computation, also in some cases comparing with “classical” algorithms, as well as shedding light into potential applications. There will also be an online invited talk by James Wootton, CSO of Moth Quantum, where insights about connecting academia and industries on working together with quantum technologies.
