The DESY internal approval deadline is Monday 9 December

Please use latex format for the abstract, and upload the pdf of your abstract on this indico page. If there is no entry for you yet, please contact andreas.hinzmann@desy.de and/or olaf.behnke@desy.de with your abstract title, and it will be added.

Once your abstract is approved (you will receive an email), please upload it until 15 December 2024 here:

https://www.dpg-tagung.de/goe25/submission.html?language=en

Attention: the deadline is SHARP. Latecomers will be given a slot in a "Latecomer session", not in their respective field. Please avoid this.

The list of topics with session numbers is given in the submission form, and the correct address to put is "Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY, Notkestraße 85, D-22607 Hamburg".

Please fill a travel application directly after uploading your talk and ask the DESY travel department to pay the fee for you. The deadline for the early-bird registration is Monday, 19 February, 2025:

Simulation of a cosmic muon test stand for the the CMS HGCAL upgrade 20m

The CMS High Granularity Calorimeter (HGCAL) upgrade requires thorough quality control during the production of its components. A cosmic muon test stand for fully assembled boards equipped with scintillator tiles, SiPMs and read-out-electronics is setup to verify that all detector components operate as expected. In this talk we present a GEANT4-based simulation in CMSSW of this test stand allowing to study energy deposition patterns, reconstructed angle accuracy, and minimum ionizing particle light yields to help the design of the test stand and for comparison to the collected data.
