Description

Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) is new generation gamma-ray and cosmic ray detector, which was constructed in 2021 in Sichuan Province, China at altitude 4.4 km. In my talk I’ll review most significant achievements of this telescope during first years of observations. I’ll present first catalog of gamma-ray sources with number of sources with energies above 100 TeV increased from 4 before LHAASO to 43, detection of diffuse gamma-ray emission of Galaxy from TeV to PeV energy, detection of TeV gamma-rays from BOAT GRB, detection of hadronic signal from Cygnus region and micro-quasars, new limits on Dark Matter. From cosmic ray side I’ll present first measurements of mass composition at PeV energies with best to date precision, and discuss perspectives to detect spectrum of cosmic ray protons at knee in near future.
