At the 3rd PHGS Dialogue Meeting we offer all supervisors of PHGS doctoral researchers the opportunity to discuss the following topic:

What are the concerns and needs of our doctoral researchers and how can we address them?

The 1.5-hour face-to-face event will be accompanied by the two psychologists Annette Juchems-Brohl (UHH) and Birte Walther (DESY) and will consist of:

(A) Challenges for doctoral researchers today.

(B) Case studies from work with doctoral researchers (Your examples and examples from the work of the psychologists).

(C) Discussion and questions.

(D) Collection of actions and wishes.

To enable the psychologists to prepare for the exchange in the most targeted way possible, we would be pleased to receive feedback from you on the questions below either by email to Stefanie.Tepass@pier-hamburg.de or directly here in the registration form. The questions are as follows:

(1)  What problems and challenges arise in your work with doctoral

researchers from a possible "lack of understanding"?

(2)   Where exactly is the problem and what do you as a supervisor
       need to solve it?

(3)  Do you have specific questions that should be answered by the
      psychologists?

(4)  Do you have examples and concrete experiences that the
      psychologists should address?

You may decide whether we may link your examples to you during the event.
However, please do not identify any doctoral researchers by name.
