- Looking at improving layout.
-> Change position of one table.
o E.g. (a) 90deg (wider) or (b) 180deg (longer).
o Where (a) is better from a laser point of view.
o (b) is better from a space point of view, both for HERA-West and Osdorfer Born.
o Where does the compression chamber go ?
o Need to explore if we can re-route light to best position chamber.
o Try to get the layout fixed so that the HERA-West and Osdorfer Born layout is the same.
o Need dimensions of extra pump laser.
-> Maik to ask Amplitude.
-> Maik to talk to Jena about possible re-routing.
-> Maik to ask for component list for Karsten and with path can create a CAD drawing.
o And vacuum chamber.
-> Karsten to provide sketch of HERA-West room.
-> Louis to provide sketch of Osdorfer Born room.
- Need a crane for moving the compressor. Could be mobile.
-> Karsten needs to know the weight.
- Air-conditioning is about 50 kEUR for the laser.
-> Needs a tender so would take at least 4 - 6 months.
-> Clean room (16 x 7 cm^2) on the top floor in HERA-West could save 50 kEUR. Is a Plan B.
-> Not much to do to get it ready for use — just a bit of clean up.
-> Maik to ask Amplitude about stability and whether such a room would affect things.
-> Temperature stability ? Ask Amplitude, (Could be 50kEUR more for 1 C tolerance for the upper room).
- Timeline ?
-> Need to talk to Matt Zepf.
-> Rumor from Jena side that they need clean room in April, and will want to remove the laser by this time.
- How much of an issue is storage. We probably will need to store the boxed laser for a few months if they really need to remove it before the summer.
- Laser and laser safety
-> 20 kEUR
-> 1 month work.
-> Needs to be in DACHS / need MEA.
-> Appoint laser safety team.
o General safety: Karsten
o LSO: needed. Joern (ALPS) or Ralph ?
- Transport
-> Lorry needs to be emptied by a crane and not from the side. Empty from above.
- Radiation issues
-> LSO will need to worry about it.
