Juggling family AND an academic career
Research, teaching, career planning, family and your own needs: It is not easy for young researchers to reconcile all of this. Good self-organisation on the one hand and self-care on the other are essential in order to meet the various demands.
Against the background of the scientific system and your individual work & family situation,
this workshop will give you the opportunity to
• reflect on your personal situation in dialogue with other parents (-to be) or scientists who wish to have children,
• become aware of your own values and needs,
• examine your priorities and set them differently if necessary
• learn about support options, obstacles & legal issues in the context of family & scienceThe workshop is aimed at parents (-to-be) in science and researchers with the desire to have children. It addresses the topic with a mix of input, discussions, and self-reflection tasks.
Discrimination-sensitive workshop. All family forms and constellations are welcome.
Please send your topic requests for the workshop up to 2 weeks before the event to the workshop leader Antje Rach: ar@worteundwandel.de.

• Stress coping & self-care
