On February 22, 2000, FLASH made history as the world’s first X-ray free-electron laser (FEL) to achieve lasing, heralding a new era of ultrafast X-ray science. This milestone facilitated global investment in FEL facilities and transformed the field of ultrafast and X-ray science.

Join us in celebrating 25 years of lasing at FLASH and register by filling the registration form on the left.

This event is open to all present and former colleagues in DESY Photon Science and other DESY divisions or on the campus Bahrenfeld or Schenefeld.
