POSHH Laser Chess Tournament

The Photonics and Optics Students Hamburg (POSHH) invite you to an evening of fun, snacks and LASER CHESS!

The first 32 to register can take part of the tournament. Everyone else is welcome to come and cheer for the next laser champion.

Format
The tournament has a group stage (8 groups of 4 people). The winner of each group advance to the quarter-finals.

Each round is a single game and in each game a player have 10 minutes to make all their move, using a standard chess clock (so maximum 20 minutes per game). Running out of time result in a loss.

Tie at the end of the group stage are broken by time remaining (fastest win). If there is still a tie a fast game (2 minutes per player) decide on the advancing player.
