The PUNCH4NFDI Young Academy presents an online training: Tools & Services Training 2025: Container Technology and its Implementation in PUNCH4NFDI, Introduction to the PUNCH4NFDI Research Product Registry (RPR) & Digital Research Products (DRPs).

Who Should Attend

This two-part training is designed for PUNCH4NFDI members, including researchers, infrastructure developers, data managers, and research software engineers.

Part 1: Container Technology and its Implementation in PUNCH4NFDI

For researchers and developers interested in containerization, CI/CD workflows, and GitLab usage within PUNCH4NFDI.

Part 2:  Introduction to the PUNCH4NFDI Research Product Registry (RPR) and Digital Research 
Products (DRPs)

For data managers and software engineers involved with digital research products’ management and documentation.

Training Prerequisites

Part 1: Technical Foundations (Docker & GitLab)

• Basic Shell Scripting knowledge
• Familiarity with Git/GitLab
• Accounts on DockerHub and GitLab
• Docker installed on your laptop (installation guide) – Linux recommended

Part 2: Research Data Management & PUNCH4NFDI

• Basic understanding of Research Data Management (RDM)
• Familiarity with metadata concepts (optional)
• No prior experience with PUNCH4NFDI RPR required
