Building 27 (DESY)

A tour is organised to the DESY II Test Beam Facility on the DESY campus:

• The test beam facility is a user facility at the DESY II synchrotron
• It offers at 3 beamlines electron beams with an energy in the GeV range for detector prototype and module tests
• 400 to 500 users come to the facility each year, mostly from the particle physics and nuclear physics community
   

Two tours are offered on Monday 4th and Thursday 7th August, 2025, each having a maximum duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes. The number of participants is limited to 32 (16 per tour) on a first-come-first-served basis.

Meeting point for both tours will be at 14h at the north gate of the "Experimental Hall II" (building 27):
