Isabell: will be prepared, not enough time. Should be extra slides? Or just inside the topics
Felix: too less emphasis on upgrade, a lot of work to be done to get the detectors going. It is up to the middle of POF
Georg: aim of the talk is to explain these subtopics and bring them on board
Ties: upgrade will need some person power
Georg: what would happen with the infrastructure and personnel on upgrade, an activity which will stop during POF V?
Ties: DAF and manpower are two different questions
Isabell: on new experiments not easy, should be hub for Germany, large enough to give an impact but not too big, fitting to expertise and interest. Nothing of the projects satisfy all these tick marks.
Ties: prototyping for new colliders will be in MT, even if it is a gray area
In future colliders: put them at the end of the slides in separate slides
Show also one slide with all new proposals presented at the retreat
Ties: get an idea how strong are the physics topics, see where LWs and YIGs can play a role.
Reduce the slides on physics, do we certain focus area, emphasis on some topics. Leading figures in topics? Answer the question where we could be at DESY in 2035? What will be the breakthrough?:
Belle with 10 ab-1?
LHC? New detectors, what will happen at 2 ab-1 etc.
put a clear message on each slides where we will be at the end of POF V
Mention LUXE will be hopefully running by 2035
Do not introduce other topics like “Energy frontier” and “Intensity Frontier”
MAGO and high frequency GWs: area of opportunity. But if we want to be serious we need to decide and how strongly we go and invest there
