Description: this is a tour with explanations of the special ecosystem "Wattenmeer" with a flora and fauna that has to face the challenge of being in the water for some time of the day and an (somewhat) dry ground during other times.

Start in Büsum: 12:00 Saturday August 16th

Price:

Tour: 9€ per person, but at least 180€ in total. (Example: if only 15 people join everyone has to pay 12€)

Additionally there is a mandatory tourist tax of the town of Büsum required to enter the beach: 4€ per person.

Meeting point: Büsum beach. (We can of course travel together, see below)

Other things to do in and around Büsum:

Büsum is small seaside town known for crab fishing. It is in a rural area. There is light house.

There is a beach where we could go swimming.

On the trip home we could also visit the town of Heide.

 

Transportation:

Start 8:14 S-Bahn 1 Othmarschen to Altona (direction Hamburg Airport)

Change in Altona to RE6 to Heide(Holst) (direction Westerland(Sylt) departure 8:38

Take Bus EV (Ersatzverkehr, train replacement bus) from Heide to Büsum. departure 10:05

General hints:

The guide recommends walking barefoot if the temperature is above 13C. You can also wear canvas shoes/sneakers/gym shoes or beachies (

In Büsum the sand is quite firm, so we won't get stuck in the mud.

There are foot showers at the beach in Büsum. Bring a towel.

Registration:

Please note that the registration here is binding, because of the minimum fee of 180€ for the guide.

I will confirm the booking with the guide once there are 15 participants (=12+4€ per person) registered.

For the guide: Cash after the tour.

or at machines in Büsum. This tourist tax is not refundable, so I advise to buy it on the day of the trip.
