The Lucky Mindset. Building Your Career Strategy for Academia and Beyond
The workshop
Are you wondering what’s next after your PhD?
Whether you plan to stay in academia or explore opportunities beyond it, having a clear understanding of your goals, strengths, values, and career options is key.
In this workshop, we´ll look at career paths in German academia as well as career options in the private, public, and non-profit sectors with practical examples.
You’ll identify what motivates you, what you’re especially good at, and which skills you can carry into other fields. Based on these insights, you’ll develop a career strategy that fits you—flexible, authentic, and future-oriented.
We’ll also explore how to use storytelling and networking to boost your visibility and increase the chances of a lucky coincidence. Whether you already have a clear direction or are still figuring things out, you’ll leave with practical ideas, fresh perspectives, and time to reflect on your next steps.
