For deep tech start-ups, strong collaborations can be the decisive factor between an idea that stays in the lab and one that scales to real-world impact. Partnerships with established companies or large research facilities open doors to markets, infrastructure, and expertise – yet they also come with hurdles. Start-ups thrive on speed and creativity, while big players often face slower processes, risk aversion, and complex structures. Especially in deep tech, where costs are high and timelines long, building trust early, identifying the right partners and champions, and working on clearly validated needs are key to success. Our speaker, Bernd Hinrichsen, brings perspectives from both industry and start-ups - he will share lessons learned on how start-ups can build partnerships that truly scale.
Bernd Hinrichsen is CSO and Co-Founder of Momentum Transfer, a company that accelerates materials research with rapid, high-quality X-ray measurement services. He previously worked as Research Manager at BASF.
We’re excited to bring together sciencepreneurs, pre-founders, and start-ups from the deep tech community. The presentation will be held in English and will be followed by a light lunch while there is time to network.
