Meet the consultants

Christian Wolff

Christian Wolff is a mechanical engineer (TU Berlin) with additional business training and a broad international career. He worked as a management consultant at Andersen Consulting and held Finance Director positions for a global consumer goods company in Brussels, New York, and London. He later founded his own consultancy and served as Managing Director of a private school in Hamburg.
Expertise 
Christian brings a strategic and analytical perspective to early-stage innovation. With long-standing experience in finance, strategy development, and corporate governance, he helps researchers turn scientific insights into scalable business concepts and supports them during critical early growth phases.

Klaus Bortel

Klaus Bortel is an experienced business leader with more than 30 years in management, finance, and organizational development, including 20 years in senior executive roles. With a background in business administration, he has held leadership positions in an international energy corporation, served as Managing Director for several German subsidiaries, and worked for three years abroad.
Expertise
Klaus supports early-stage founders in transforming research-based ideas into viable business models. His strengths lie in financial planning, organizational setup, and navigating complex stakeholder environments. He is particularly skilled at helping founders sharpen their business concept, plan finances, and structure their roadmap for sustainable growth.
