Bonn workshop last week: agenda

NAF status

core router upgrade planned on 10th January
- short network interruptions expected
- NAF downtime planned (central services, storage)
/tmp was running full: Use $TMPDIR not /tmp!
some problems with accessing ATLAS software from workers
ATLAS Lustre instance overloaded -> slower jobs
Lustre file servers loosing connectivity to storage via fibre channel

ATLAS report

Open issues and feedback:
- feedback on Lustre problems (15.11.2011)
- ROOT 5.32 (ticket aready written)
- CVMFS for the NAF
- deployment plan for SONAS needed

ATLAS Support: Period from November 1st to December 13th (Wolfgang Ehrenfeld):
- user wanted to use dcput -> dq2-put (funny datatransfer workflow -> moved to DaTRI)
- problems with access to condition files (updates not worked due to cloud downtime (LFC migration)) -> CVMFS
- memory leak on work group server
- Lustre problems (2 work group servers rebooted, 5.12.2011)
- AFS problems with ganga/cmt (maybe understood, AFS monitoring?)
- clean up on DESY-HH_LOCALGROUPDISK -> a lot of work, not all users responsive, but some success
- clean up on HH lustre -> a lot of work, but not successfull

CMS report

/tmp filled up by some unexpected log files
data transfer from FNAL to NAF problematic due to too many GridFTP connections
