Description
Algorithms for lattice QCD have become much faster during the last decade. This
is mainly because of a better understanding of the system which we simulate. After a short introduction to the concepts and the general algorithmic approach
of lattice QCD calculations, the talk will highlight some of the ideas which
have driven recent developments. A particular focus will be given to decompositions of the physical system and their interplay with the algorithms used for its simulation.
