NAF status

• queue status shown
• tickets:
  • mainly SONAS requests (quota, create directories)
  • usual tickets
• NAF 2.0: first WGS installed, feedback welcome
• Downtime: Oct 23rd, resources will be reduced, no service outage

  • DESY-HH_LOCALGROUPDISK again full, cleaning performed
  • one dCache node broken (30.9.2012), one ticket on Monday, a second ticket on Tuesday, both answered on Tuesday afternoon -> a reply after 24h on a working day is too long
  • another open ticket (9.10.2012)
• batch system:
  • high load on batch server from atlas profile (defining site) -> fixed with help from Andreas H.
  • user question to naf-helpdesk, low priority -> answer after two days
• work group server
  • out of vmem (can not compile, can not set up dq2), solved
• software
  • correct python version (2.5/2.6) within ROOT -> not supported at the moment
• requests:
  • group summary entry of SONAS quota on web page
• NAF 2.0
  • ATLAS-D asked to consolidate the ATLAS NAF resources at one site
• Thanks to NAF admins for supporting a successful ATLAS tutorial on the NAF!

CMS report

• CMS-DAS in January at Hamburg will use NAF 2.0 for exercises

ILC/CALICE report

• noticed again: Lustre without quota does not work
• NAF queues sometimes too crowded by a single user
