Leptogenesis confronting neutrino data: an SO(10)-inspired solution

It is well known that, model independently, minimal (thermal + type I seesaw mechanism) leptogenesis can only give us a way to understand (order-of-magnitude wise) the values of the neutrino masses while it is completely insensitive to the neutrino mixing parameters. I will discuss how SO(10)-inspired conditions tighten the parameters space and produce some testable constraints. In the talk I will present new results showing how by further requiring independence of the initial conditions leads to a solution on neutrino parameters that seems not only to provide a cosmological interpretation of existing data but also to produce predictions on future measurements in quite a distinctive way: neutrino masses should be normally ordered with a lightest neutrino mass m_1 in the range (10-30) meV, Majorana phases such that m_ee ~ m_1, atmospheric neutrino mixing angle well in the first quadrant and, finally, the Dirac phase should lie in the range -0.5 < delta/pi < 0.2.
