There will be no BeampipeHOMAbsorber in the Feedcap nor in the Endcap.
The beampipe diameter through the caps stays approximately 40mm throughout, steps in diameter have to be avoided. The valve at the end of the module will be a standard type with a modified insert, so that the beam sees no step. The precision of the height adjustment is required to be 1/10th of a milimeter. The beam axis is set at -2.75m in LA coordinates. If the floor was made according to specs this would result in a height of 1.39m above the floor. The survey of the injector is yet to be done.
The elbow in the transfer line is OK as is, further reductions in length are welcome but not required. During installation of the vacuum parts nearby the feedcap one leg of the support needs to be dismounted.
MVS will come up with a design for the beampipe feedthrough that contains a membrane or bellows to compensate the slight tilt resulting from pumping down the iso-vac.
B. Petersen asked if the design of the "Berstscheibe" needs to be adapted to prevent a direct contact to air in case of a leak. MVS saw no increased risk and dismissed the need.
