Abstract: We will discuss the implications of the first Planck CMB data for our understanding inflation. We will see that a power-law primordial spectrum provides a good fit to the temperature spectrum, and that under this assumption we can discriminate among several single-field inflationary models. We will review the issue of possible features in the primordial spectrum, and show the result of a reconstruction of the observable inflaton potential beyond slow-roll. Finally, we will show that models with a fraction of isocurvature mode are not significantly favoured.
