Summary

Generally the synthesis and some properties of advanced materials are characterized by the fast flow processes, which requires fast electron spectroscopy data acquisitions. The end-station for these experiments was designed, build up and installed into the beamline P04 at DESY. The system is based on a hemispherical electron spectrometer with parallel detection ARGUS (Omicron Nano) which in combination with the high brilliance XUV beamline P04 at PETRA III provides the possibility of taking extremely fast (about 0.1 sec per spectrum) high resolution soft x-ray photoelectron spectra.
