Hamburg Photon Science Colloquium | Imaging electron orbitals by multiparticle coincidence detection

by Reinhard Dörner (Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany)

Friday, May 25, 2018 from to (Europe/Berlin)
at DESY, Hamburg ( CFEL SR I-III (Bldg. 99) )
Description
Photoabsorption is an exquisit tool to gently break small molecules into several pieces (photoelectrons, Auger electrons, ionic fragments). When the momentum vectors of all of these fragments are measured in coincidence surprising details of the electronic and molecular wavefunction can be seen and their dynamical evolution can be imaged.
