In November DESY IT invited a number of experts in machine learning, deep learning and GPU computing from the DESY campus, to a round table to present and discuss the use of the respective tools. At that meeting it was concluded to have a regular meeting/seminar/get together. The seminar talks will mainly be done by your colleagues from the various institutes on the DESY campus. The idea is to have presentations, which only to a small extend focus on the presenters scientific topics, but largely cover the Deep Learning and GPU computing techniques used. At least at the beginning of the seminar series we aim at a beginner level introduction to the used networks, architectures, libraries, concepts… Within the seminar there is also space to discuss, show, present your own challenges, where you possibly seek advise from one of the more advanced colleagues.
