Young Investigators' Meeting (YIM) aims at gathering a large community of young Indian researchers to bring awareness on opportunities to relocate to India, to establish specific collaborations with Indian scientists and industries, to obtain funding for research, and to establish a successful research career. The meeting is typically a 2-day event involving senior Ph.D. students, post-doctoral fellows, leaders of S&T from India, senior officials of DBT/DST/SERB etc. The event will have talks on the current status of Science and Technology in India and will help to disseminate correct information and help to attract talented people back to India and to position them to places best suited for their expertise and research interests through a proper mentoring mechanism. The meeting is organized both in India and abroad (notably Boston, Chicago, and Cambridge) in the past few years. YIM-2019 is planned to be hosted in Berlin on 20-21 May 2019 and is jointly organized by Department of Biotechnology, Govt of India and Indian Embassy at Berlin. Notice: Unfortunately, we have to postpone the proposed YIM to a later date. This is the first time, perhaps, due to our enthusiasm, we didn't look at imminent elections etc. The Indian Embassy is waiting for the new Science Attache, and at our end for funding, we need to wait for sometime. We will get back to you as soon as possible with new dates. But, we would organize for sure! Our sincere apologies.
