These posters and lab tours are for the mini open day "FH behind the scenes" where the particle physics department (FH) gives
people from other departments the opportunity to get to know us.
Guidelines for the posters:
Our audience are physicists from other departments, but also admin people.
Therefore:
The posters should not be too technical. Avoid our slang, acronyms etc!!
They should highlight some of the "cool stuff" we do.
Avoid plots, use images instead.
Offer talking points
There will be central posters explaining the FH department and the main questions. Nevertheless, it should be picked up a bit.
Guidlines for tours:
The lab tours will start from the seminar room area at fixed time (for example 11:15, 12:15 ...) to make it easier for
people to find the labs. Please register if your team wants to offer a tour and explain in a few words (avoiding slang) what would be shown.
The tours should also show interesting items in each lab/infrastructure and not be too extensive. Here we would
be happy to also offer tours to IT, library, the central electronics workshops.
