We are entering a transformative period in observational cosmology. Large surveys in the next few years promise to solve key problems in cosmology - but only if we develop new approaches for handling the volume and complexity of the data. I will present the promise and the challenges of the coming era of surveys, and what we can hope to learn about fundamental physics.
