Bootstrapping superconformal lines

In this talk we discuss 1d conformal field theories that describe half-BPS Wilson lines in N=4 SYM. We study these models using a collection of modern numerical and analytical bootstrap techniques. Particular emphasis is given to the large N strong coupling limit, where our bootstrap analysis reproduces an explicit string theory calculation at leading order, and also extends it up to third order in the strong coupling expansion. Although we mostly discuss the maximally supersymmetric case, the approach is general enough and can also be applied to models with less supersymmetry.
