Das FLASH2020+ TDR Kick-Off Treffen fand online statt. Nach einer Einleitung aus dem Direktorium wurde das Projekt mit Ablauf, Struktur und Umfang vorgestellt. Die gezeigten Folien finden Sie weiter unten.
Im Rahmen von FLASH2020+ ist ein wesentlicher Ausbau von FLASH im Laufe der nächsten fünf Jahre geplant. Während der Beschleuniger höhere Energien erreicht, wird FLASH1 mit einer flexiblen Undulatorstrecke und externem Seeding bei hoher Wiederholfrequenz erweitert. FLASH2 wird kürzere Pulse und variable Polarisation bereitstellen. Die Pump-Probe Laser werden synchronisierte Pulse erzeugen, die das gesamte optische Spektrum und darüber hinaus umfassen.
The FLASH2020+ TDR Kick-Off Meeting was held online. After an introduction from the directorate, we presented the project timeline, structure and scope. The presented slides are found further below.
Within FLASH2020+, a major upgrade of the FLASH facility is planned within the next five years. While the whole machine will get an energy upgrade, FLASH1 will be enhanced with a flexible undulator section and high repetition rate external seeding. FLASH2 will aim for shorter pulses and also variable polarisation. The pump-probe lasers will produce synchronised pulses across the whole optical spectrum and beyond.
