Summary
RZG is running in production AFS/OSD still mostly in the 1.4 version.
The development of AFS/OSD, however, is following OpenAFS 1.6. Only the HPSS (high-end HSM system) support for AFS/OSD is in production with the 1.6 version at RZG. Tests at Paul-Scherrer-Institute in Switzerland have shown that it also works fine with SAMFS as HSM system.
The code for AFS/OSD which will go into the git-master will be compatible to the 1.6 version, but not to the 1.4 version any more.
