Talk 3) Neutrinos and related astrophysical implications Neutrinos and related astrophysical implications

Description

With the advent of low-threshold detectors that look for neutrino scattering at sub-keV energy deposition, the sensitivity to possible neutrino electromagnetic moments can be further increased. As such low energies start to overlap with atomic scales, it is necessary to take atomic binding effects into account so that detector responses can be understood more reliably. In this talk, we present our recent study on the ionization of germanium by ab initio many-body calculations. Using recent results from the TEXONO Collaboration, we also report new limits on the magnetic moment and milli-charge of reactor antineutrinos.
