Karabo is the name of European XFEL's homogenoeus software framework. It essentially is a plug-able distributed application framework and will be used for control, data-management, DAQ and scientifc workflow aspects.
This first workshop will introduce all basic concepts and provides hands-on tutorials for usage and contributions (plugin programming).

All participants intending to attend day(s) 2 and/or 3 are asked to bring their own laptops to the workshop. Karabo runs natively on the following (64bit) operating systems: - Scientific Linux 6.x - Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - Ubuntu 12.04 LTS - SUSE 12.x - MacOSX >10.6 For Windows users, we will prepare a VirtualBox hard-drive that we provide at the workshop. In any case: Please prepare to have VirtualBox (https://www.virtualbox.org) installed on your laptop.
