The aim of this hands-on exercise is to obtain the charge-collection efficiency of a silicon strip sensor. In order to do so the following steps need to be followed:
- Measurement of the pedestal of a strip sensor
- Measurement of the charge deposited by a 90Sr(β) at a certain temperature and voltage
The analysis is performed in several steps:
- Subtract common mode noise
- Use cluster algorithm to find clusters
- Obtain a charge distribution
- Fit charge distribution with Landau-Gauss
