Delphes
Delphes is a C++ modular framework which parametrizes the simulation of multipurpose detectors, like CMS. The tracking system, the calorimeters (taking into account the granularity and resolution of the subdetectors) and the muon system are simulated, and the physics objects are reconstructed depending on the efficiency and resolution implemented.
With this Hands-on Session you will achieve a basic knowledge about:
- the Delphes structure
- how Delphes works
- how to use Delphes to produce root samples of given events
- the ROOT samples structure
- how to analyze the samples with ROOT (for this part you need a basic knowledge about ROOT)
Detailed descriptions on the exercise can be found in

with XY being on of the workgroup server numbers mentioned in the account email. Please have a look at the PDF document(s) in that directory before the hands-on session.
