Booking a hotel room is a business transaction between workshop participant and the hotel. The workshop organizers are not a party in any disputes between the participant and the hotel.
The workshop sessions themselves will be held at DESY/Zeuthen, which is a bit outside of Berlin. The social event however will be organized in the city of Berlin.
For the core workshop days we will organize a bus from a location in Berlin/Center to the workshop venue. It will run Wednesday and Thursday morning from Berlin to Zeuthen and Wednesday evening from Zeuthen to Berlin.
As the city of Berlin is a tourist place it's rather easy to find accommodation. So we didn't prebook anything, but you can find some recommended hotels below, which are close to the conference dinner location and close to where our private bus is departing. In Zeuthen itself, we prebooked some rooms in the DESY/Zeuthen Hostel as well as in hotels close to the venue. It might however be a bit cumbersome to get back from the workshop dinner in Berlin to the Hotels in Zeuthen especially if you are considering to explore the Berlin wildlife after the dinner.
