Getting Indico Accounts

Ende der selbst generierten Benutzerkonten

Wie Anfang Februar im CUC angekündigt werden wir zum 12. April 2022 die Möglichkeit lokale Benutzerkonten in Indico zu erzeugen deaktivieren, da prinzipiell jedem die Anmeldung über "Helmholtz AAI" zu Verfügung steht. Für alle Benutzer die dort nicht mit ihrem Institut gelistet sind stehen die Identity Provider GitHub, Google und ORCID prinzipiell jedem Menschen zur Nutzung zu Verfügung. Alle zu diesem Zeitpunkt bestehenden lokalen Accounts werden sich bis Mitte September weiterhin anmelden können, dann deaktivieren wir, ebenfalls in Abstimmung mit dem CUC die lokalen Accounts vollständig. Wenn Sie die Berechtigungen Ihres lokalen Benutzerkontos beibehalten möchten, nutzen Sie bitte in der Übergangsphase bis September 2022 eine alternative Anmeldemethode und fügen Sie die neue Anmeldemethode ihrem bestehenden Benutzerkonto hinzu. Dies funktioniert automatisiert nur wenn die E-Mailadresse ihres neuen Identity-Providers auch in Ihrem lokalen Konto hinterlegt ist. Beispiel: Sie möchten sich mit Ihrem Google E-Mail-Konto das auf die E-Mail Adresse vorname.nachname@gmail.com registriert ist auf indico.desy.de anmelden und diese Anmeldemethode zu Ihrem bisherigen Konto hinzufügen. Ist die E-Mail Adresse bereits in Ihrem lokalen Indico Benutzerkonto hinterlegt, müssen Sie nichts machen, ansonsten fügen Sie bitte vor der ersten Anmeldung über Google die E-Mail Adresse in den Einstellungen Ihres Benutzerkontos als zweite E-Mail Adresse hinzu. Wenn Sie sich nun mit den Zugangsdaten Ihres Google-Kontos anmelden, schlägt Indico Ihnen vor diese Methode zu Ihrem vorhandenen Konto hinzuzufügen, dies bejahen Sie bitte. End of account self-provisioning

As announced in the CUC at the beginning of February, we will deactivate the possibility of creating local user accounts in Indico on 12 April 2022, as in principle everyone can log in via "Helmholtz AAI". For all users who are not listed there with their institute, the identity providers GitHub, Google and ORCID will in principle be available for use by everyone. All local accounts existing at this time will still be able to log in until mid-September, when we will completely deactivate the local accounts, also in coordination with the CUC. If you wish to retain the permissions of your local account, please use an alternative login method during the transition phase until September 2022 and add the new login method to your existing user account. This only works automatically if the e-mail address of your new identity provider is also stored in your local account. Example: You want to log in to indico.desy.de with your Google email account registered to the email address vorname.nachname@gmail.com and add this login method to your existing account. If the e-mail address is already stored in your local Indico user account, you do not need to do anything, otherwise please add the e-mail address as a second e-mail address in the settings of your user account before logging in via Google for the first time. If you now log in with the access data of your Google account, Indico will suggest adding this method to your existing account, please accept this. Please also have a look at the attached screenshots.
